We came to know each other in a pharmaceutical company where, I work as
Scientist and she as a Project Manager. In March 2016 (coincidently on Women’s
Day), we decided to join our hands and work for the educational rights of
children begging in the KPHB shopping streets. We also named a tagline, “Say No
to Begging & Yes to Education”. After a thorough analysis of existing NGOs in
Hyderabad, we realised that no one focuses on children living in this part of
the city and it led to the formation of Chottu Ki Education. Three years after
its inception, we the Founders, Yuvaneshwari and Madhavi took a big leap in
registering CKE under Section 8 of the Companies Act, while continuing to work
in our respective professional sectors. Chotuuki Education Foundation, License
-115262, works directly with school dropouts, child labor and begging children
with a volunteer based model. Saving lives of people is the unwritten code of
every Doctor and this trait is being reflected through Madhavi’s work in CKE.
Yuvaneshwari joined CKE as she was curious to find solutions for the existing
gaps in the society. Although Guntur and Chennai are their respective natives,
Hyderabad united them as they unanimously believed in importance of Education in
eradicating poverty and all social evils .
