We aim to take up a school and run it independently by 2028. We would also like to introduce skill development programs for adults in the slum communities
Student's Success Stories
Sushila
In 2018, a free medical camp was conducted by CKE volunteers in a slum area of Hyderabad, a significant issue came to light. One young girl named Sushila. Unlike many others, she had a spark in her eyes and a strong desire to return to school. Her age meant she should have been in secondary school, but her education had significant gaps due to the years she had missed. Convincing her parents to re-enroll her in a government school was no easy task. Sushila’s parents were hesitant and unsure about the benefits of restarting her education. Undeterred, volunteers visited Sushila’s home consistently, explaining the importance of education and the bright future it could offer her. Persistence paid off, not only was re enrolled in school. She excelled in her studies and graduated with flying colors!
Sushila is now pursuing her undergraduate degree!
Lingam
Lingam, a 16-year-old from a socially excluded family, has always shown a remarkable interest in education. Seeking support for his higher education, his mother reached out to CKE. Recognizing his potential, the CKE team partnered with Reddy’s Foundation to enroll Lingam in a vocational intermediate course. Today, Lingam has successfully completed the course and is now pursuing his undergraduate degree!
